WHY THE MISSION MATTERS
Kids today are growing up in a world that can leave them overstimulated, isolated and disconnected from the people and experiences that help shape their lives.
Baseball—done right—can reconnect them.
Peavy Baseball Academy is about more than developing better athletes. We use high-level baseball training as a vehicle to build character, discipline, confidence, healthier choices and stronger relationships between players, coaches, families and communities.
Better Players. Better Coaches. Stronger Communities.
SOMETHING’S BROKEN — AND BASEBALL CAN HELP FIX IT
COACH THE COACHES™
BUILD BETTER COACHES. CHANGE MORE LIVES.
Great players need great coaches. And communities need coaches equipped to teach more than just the game.
Coach the Coaches™ gives leagues, organizations and coaching staffs a systematic way to teach proven baseball fundamentals, improve player development and reduce unnecessary injury risk—while helping coaches become the mentors and leaders young athletes need.
Teach the game better. Develop the whole athlete. Strengthen the community.
DEVELOPING THE WHOLE ATHLETE
BUILDING STRONGER COMMUNITIES
Community Champions Baseball™ is about bringing high-level baseball development back home — where players, families, coaches and communities grow together.
Through 5 Tool PLUS, we go beyond the traditional five tools of baseball. The PLUS develops the complete athlete through sport-specific conditioning, sports vision and neurocognitive training, mental development, character, and a foundation of faith and purpose.
Train the player. Develop the person. Strengthen the community.
WHY PEAVY BASEBALL?
More than 50 years of coaching, teaching and developing athletes have shaped one simple belief: players deserve more than disconnected drills, quick fixes and one-size-fits-all instruction.
Peavy Baseball Academy combines proven baseball fundamentals, advanced motion analysis and decades of hands-on teaching experience into Teachable Systems™ designed to make complex skills easier to learn and simpler to teach.
From young players just learning the game to advanced and professional-level athletes, the objective has remained the same:
UNDERSTAND THE ATHLETE. TEACH THE MOVEMENT. DEVELOP THE PERSON.
50+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE — STILL LEARNING. STILL BUILDING.
For more than five decades, Coach Preston Peavy has continued to study, teach and refine how baseball skills are learned. That journey has included developing InnerVision™ Motion Analysis, working with players from beginners through professional baseball, and applying advanced analysis to some of the game’s greatest players.
His work has included the detailed analysis of Mickey Mantle for Jane Leavy’s New York Times bestseller The Last Boy, while generations of young athletes have provided the most important laboratory of all — the baseball field.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS. WHAT YOU DO WITH IT MATTERS MORE.

PROVEN SYSTEMS. REAL RESULTS.
The measure of a training system isn’t how impressive it sounds.
It’s what players and coaches can actually learn, teach and repeat.
Peavy Baseball Academy’s Teachable Systems™ have been developed and refined through decades of hands-on instruction, advanced motion analysis and work with athletes from youth baseball through the professional level.
The systems are built around a simple principle: teach athletes to understand what they are doing, why it works and how to repeat it — while optimizing performance and reducing unnecessary injury risk.
EASIER TO LEARN. SIMPLER TO TEACH. BUILT TO PRODUCE RESULTS.

TAZWELL BUTLER — FROM YOUNG PITCHER TO THE 2026 MLB DRAFT
Tazwell Butler began training with Coach Peavy as a young player and continued developing through high school and college baseball. This video follows that progression and shows the Step by Step to a Pro Pitching Motion™ system in action—from learning the movement to applying it successfully at increasingly advanced levels.
In 2026, Tazwell Butler was selected in the MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.
THE SYSTEM DOESN’T JUST TEACH A MOTION. IT TEACHES AN ATHLETE HOW TO BUILD ONE.
